Accompanied by the Instruments of David - Justin Imel

The book is simple and the arguments are basic. The short book is meant to be a short introduction to a larger study. There were a few comments in the book that I had not seen before. He does recommend Everett Ferguson's book (which I have not read, and interestingly even a proponent on the use of instrumental music refers to) and but there are some other books that could be beneficial such as John Price's "Old Light on New Worship" (a baptist preacher); Tom Alexander's "Music in Worship" or Dave Miller's "A Plea to Reconsider".

I would recommend this book to those who would like to be introduced with the beginning arguments for a cappella.

PS: I disclose that I got the book as free kindle, but was not required to write a review, either negative or positive.

Surprise! I love books!

Well, it might not be much of surprise to those who know me. But, let me admit it upfront: I love reading and I try to read an average of two books per month. I use www.goodreads.com to locate new books and glean recommendations for them. As a way of paying forward, I like to write reviews for those books that I think others should read.

Granted, I have a bias toward Christian books, but I am trying to read more broadly.

Expect me to give book reviews and hunt for books you have reviewed.

All the best,
Bledi.
